The quality of teaching in Latin American universities is a key factor for the academic and professional development of students. However, higher education institutions face challenges such as a lack of adequate infrastructure, outdated teaching methodologies, gaps in access to technology, and the need for further teacher training. This study aims to analyze the main factors that influence the quality of university teaching in Latin America and evaluate the methods used to measure it. Through a comparative analysis between different countries, it seeks to identify areas of opportunity to improve the educational system and guarantee more effective and equitable learning. The perception of quality varies between countries and is influenced by infrastructure, teacher training, and use of technology. Universities with more robust assessment models achieve better results in student satisfaction. The lack of funding and adequate public policies limits the capacity for improvement in many institutions. It is crucial to strengthen accreditations and quality regulations to guarantee more homogeneous standards in the region. In conclusion, it is concluded that the quality of education in Latin America is heterogeneous, with large differences between countries and types of universities. Infrastructure, teaching quality and use of technology are determining factors in the perception of quality. The lack of investment in education is an obstacle to improving academic competitiveness in the region.
