This study analyzes the prevalence, perceptions, and institutional mechanisms for addressing sexual harassment in educational institutions in the Babahoyo canton, with the aim of proposing effective strategies for its prevention and eradication. Using a mixed-methodology approach and a multiple-case design, surveys were conducted among students at the Babahoyo Educational Unit, identifying that a significant percentage have been victims of sexual harassment in the school environment. The results reveal weak institutional ownership of reporting protocols, a perception of insecurity when reporting cases, and limited student education regarding their sexual and reproductive rights. In response to this problem, the implementation of the Comprehensive Management Model for the Awareness and Eradication of Sexual Harassment in Educational Units (MAGISEU) is proposed. This model seeks to empower children and adolescents, mobilize families and community stakeholders, and strengthen institutional action through the articulation of preventive, punitive, and restorative measures. The research concludes that school sexual harassment constitutes a structural phenomenon that requires multidimensional intervention supported by a solid regulatory framework, an institutional culture of respect and justice, and the active participation of the entire educational community in transforming power relations and guaranteeing fundamental rights.
