This study analyzes the influence of family guidance on language development in children aged 2 to 3 years attending the “La Cadena” Child Development Center. It is grounded in cognitive and sociocultural development theories, highlighting the role of social interaction and the family environment in early language acquisition. Methodologically, a qualitative, descriptive, and non-experimental design was adopted, with a census sample of 18 children, their legal guardians, and 5 educators. Data collection techniques included direct observation, semi-structured interviews, and surveys. The results indicate that children show an adequate development of receptive language skills; however, limitations are observed in expressive language, particularly in sentence formation and vocabulary expansion. It was also found that language stimulation practices at home are mostly spontaneous and lack structured planning. Most parents have not received formal guidance, which limits the implementation of effective strategies. From the teachers’ perspective, there is a lack of systematic family guidance programs and weak articulation between the home and the educational institution. It is concluded that family guidance is a key factor in enhancing language development in early childhood. The implementation of structured programs for parents would improve the quality of communicative interactions and support children’s overall development.
